self-healing

Dear one, I’m grateful you’re here, and I welcome you to walk with me toward a calm, whole-hearted approach to health.

I am Dr. Ravindranath G, Founder of SaiSankalpam.com, and a moment from my clinic comes to mind: a young mother with migraines and rising blood pressure told me she felt “broken” because her work, finances, and family life were all slipping; as we worked together, I guided her first to stabilize her energy—simple breath pauses, mindful meals, and early sleep—and within weeks her patience with her child grew, her budgeting became clearer, and her head felt lighter; the lesson that unfolded was unmistakable to both of us: holistic health is not just about the body—it is the energetic foundation that supports every other pillar of life.

Here is how I teach this foundation to my patients and students:

Five Pillars of Success (all rooted in health) – Health: When your nervous system is regulated and your metabolism steady, vitality rises; emotions settle, and mind–body harmony returns. – Relationships: Balanced energy gives you patience to listen, empathy to soften conflicts, and presence to truly be with the people you love. – Financial Wisdom: A calm brain makes better decisions—clarity replaces impulse, discipline replaces anxiety, and stress reduces, saving both money and peace. – Knowledge: Focus deepens when the body is nourished and rested; memory consolidates in sleep; enthusiasm grows when inflammation and fatigue are low. – Inner Peace: Stillness arrives more easily through steady breath and simple spiritual practice; you feel grounded, guided, and less reactive.

The T.E.A.R. Formula (through a health lens) – Thoughts: Shape your brain’s electrical and chemical signals, guiding the nervous system toward safety or alarm; wise thinking tones the vagus nerve and calms stress circuits. – Energy: As your thoughts soften, your bioenergy steadies—heart rate variability improves, hormones balance, and emotions stabilize. – Actions: From steady energy arise disciplined, compassionate habits—consistent meals, better sleep rhythms, and kinder words. – Results: Durable well-being follows—pain reduces, mood lifts, immunity strengthens, and spiritual growth feels natural rather than forced.

Two Triangles (the engine beneath your habits) – Triangle 1 Thoughts → generate → Energy – Triangle 2 Energy → guides → Actions → creating → Results

How these triangles shape your life – Physical health: Supportive thoughts reduce cortisol spikes, which stabilizes energy; that energy guides consistent actions—walking, stretching, mindful eating—producing results like lower blood pressure, better glucose control, and resilient immunity. – Emotional balance: Gentle inner dialogue generates a calmer energetic field; with that stability, you respond instead of react, strengthening emotional regulation and reducing anxiety. – Spiritual depth: When energy is calm, breath is steady and awareness becomes clear; actions like prayer, meditation, or service arise naturally, and results are felt as inner connectedness and gratitude.

As Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba reminded us, “The body is a temple of God; keep it pure and clean for the soul to reside in.” In clinical language, purity is the removal of inflammatory load and overstimulation; in spiritual language, purity is quiet alignment with truth and love. In both, you experience a luminous steadiness that carries you across life’s challenges.

Practical daily health techniques I personally rely on and prescribe – Breathing pause for nervous system reset: Three times a day, I practice 4-6 breathing (inhale 4 counts, exhale 6 counts for 2–3 minutes). Science shows lengthened exhalation activates the parasympathetic system, lowering heart rate and calming the amygdala. – Mindful meal practice: I begin the first three bites in silence, chewing thoroughly and noticing aroma and texture. This primes digestion by stimulating salivary enzymes and helps prevent overeating through earlier satiety signals. – Hydration with awareness: I keep water visible and sip across the day, adding a pinch of mineral salts when needed. Mild dehydration raises fatigue and cravings; steady hydration improves focus, blood volume, and temperature regulation. – Gratitude walk: A 10–15 minute walk at a comfortable pace while naming three things I’m grateful for. Gentle movement enhances insulin sensitivity and endorphins; gratitude trains the brain’s salience networks to notice resources over threats. – Early sleep ritual: I dim lights 60 minutes before bed, avoid heavy meals late, and read something uplifting. Lower light reduces melatonin suppression; the ritual signals safety to the nervous system, improving deep sleep and memory consolidation.

When you weave these practices into your day, the Two Triangles begin to work for you rather than against you: your Thoughts nurture Energy; your Energy guides Actions; your Actions create Results—and those results, in turn, reinforce the very thoughts that started your healing.

“Health is wealth; peace of mind is happiness; non-violence is the highest duty.” — Sathya Sai Baba “Please share your thoughts, reflections, or questions in the comment box below. I value every comment and read each one with love and gratitude.”
