1926 – Birth and Early Life
Sathya Sai Baba was born as Sathyanarayana Raju on 23rd November 1926 in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh. From an early age, he demonstrated wisdom, compassion, and mystical abilities that amazed those around him.
1940 – Divine Proclamation
At the age of 14, in 1940, he declared himself to be the reincarnation of Shirdi Sai Baba. From that day forward, he became known as Sathya Sai Baba and started his spiritual mission.

1950s–1970s – Rise of Global Mission
During these decades, Sathya Sai Baba attracted a global following. Devotees from various religious backgrounds came to seek his blessings. He built Prasanthi Nilayam, a spiritual center in Puttaparthi.

1980s–2000s – Humanitarian Service
He founded institutions of free healthcare and education. His service projects included:
- Super-specialty hospitals (free treatments)
- Free education through Sri Sathya Sai University
- Drinking water supply for millions in rural India

2011 – Mahasamadhi
Sathya Sai Baba left his physical body on April 24, 2011. His samadhi is located at Prasanthi Nilayam. His spiritual mission continues through the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization present in over 100 countries.
