Beloved friend, I’m grateful you’re here; let us step together into a clear, compassionate understanding of your health.
Many years ago in my clinic, a young entrepreneur came to me with relentless migraines, irritability at home, and mounting financial anxiety; what changed her life was not a new pill but a new relationship with energy—her thoughts, breath, sleep, and attention—and as her energy steadied, I watched her health, relationships, work decisions, learning, and inner calm all lift together, confirming a truth I live by as a doctor and as a father: holistic health is not just about the body—it is the energetic foundation that supports every other pillar of life.
Here is how I teach it at SaiSankalpam, in science and in spirit, and how you can live it gently every day.
Five Pillars of Success, rooted in Health – Health: When energy is balanced, vitality rises, inflammation calms, and mind–body harmony returns; the nervous system downshifts from survival to safety. – Relationships: Stable energy cultivates patience, empathy, and real presence; we listen instead of react, and repair becomes natural. – Financial Wisdom: Calm physiology clears cluttered thinking; we act with clarity and discipline, reducing stress-driven spending and fear-based choices. – Knowledge: A regulated brain sustains focus, memory, and enthusiasm; learning becomes joyful, not pressured. – Inner Peace: With stillness, breath, and spiritual grounding, we can witness life instead of drowning in it; peace is not the absence of problems but the presence of balance.
The T.E.A.R. Formula (Health Lens) – Thoughts: Your inner dialogue tunes your nervous system; kind, realistic thoughts signal safety, lowering cortisol and stabilizing heart rate variability. – Energy: When the nervous system settles, energy flows coherently—emotions and physiology balance, digestion and immunity improve, and sleep deepens. – Actions: From steady energy, actions become disciplined yet compassionate; habits stick because the body trusts you. – Results: Consistent, kind actions accumulate into well-being and spiritual growth; you feel stronger in body, clearer in mind, and softer in heart.
Two Triangles that quietly run your life – Triangle 1: Thoughts → generate → Energy – Triangle 2: Energy → guides → Actions → creating → Results
How these triangles shape your life – Physical health: Supportive thoughts calm the autonomic nervous system, producing coherent energy; coherent energy nudges you to choose nourishing food, movement, and sleep; those actions yield tangible results—reduced pain, better labs, steadier hormones. – Emotional balance: Thoughts of self-compassion create a felt sense of safety; that energy guides you to pause before reacting; over time, the result is emotional resilience and fewer conflicts. – Spiritual depth: Thoughts aligned with truth and love generate reverent energy; that energy leads to consistent practices—prayer, seva, meditation—whose results are inner stillness and expanded awareness.
As Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba reminds us, “The body is the temple of God; keep it clean and pure.” When we purify thoughts, energy purifies; when energy purifies, actions follow; and when actions purify, life itself becomes a prayer.
Practical daily health techniques I recommend – Breathing pause for nervous system reset: Several times a day, exhale slightly longer than you inhale—for example, 4 seconds in, 6 seconds out for 2–3 minutes. This lengthened exhale engages the vagus nerve, shifting you from fight-or-flight into rest-and-digest. I use this between patient consultations to reset clarity. – Mindful meal practice: Before the first bite, place one hand on your belly and take two slow breaths, silently thanking all who brought the meal to your plate. This brief gratitude primes digestion by activating parasympathetic tone and curbs overeating by reconnecting you with satiety cues. – Gratitude walk: A 10–15 minute stroll in daylight, naming three things you appreciate with each hundred steps—breath, trees, a relationship, a lesson learned. Sunlight calibrates circadian rhythm and mood chemicals; gratitude flips your brain from threat to resourcefulness. – Early sleep ritual: Choose a consistent wind-down—dim lights, warm shower, no screens for 45 minutes, a short prayer or reflection. Predictability teaches the brain safety; melatonin rises, sleep deepens, and next-day decisions become wiser and kinder. – Hydration with awareness: Start your morning with a tall glass of water and a single intention for the day. Hydration improves blood volume and cognition; pairing it with intention anchors Triangle 1—thoughts generating clean energy for your actions.
When you feel stuck, return to the triangles – Ask: What thought is generating my current energy? Can I choose a truer, kinder thought? – Feel: What energy state am I in—agitated, dull, or clear? One breathing pause can transform it. – Act: From steadier energy, take the next small compassionate action—a glass of water, an apology, a 10-minute walk. – Trust: Results compound. Health, relationships, finances, learning, and inner peace rise together because they share the same energetic root.
Everything I share as Dr. Ravindranath G, Founder of SaiSankalpam.com, comes from years at the bedside, at home as a parent, and on the mat in prayer. When we honor energy, the body heals, the heart softens, the mind clears, and the spirit smiles.
“Health is wealth; peace of mind is happiness; yoga shows the way.” — Sri Sathya Sai Baba
